An Oasis of Peace

In the spirit of Benedictine hospitality, Saint Benedict Center welcomes all guests as Christ, offering a place of peace for people of many faiths who seek God.

Saint Benedict Center is a ministry of the Catholic Missionary Benedictine community of Christ the King Priory, whose prayer and presence abides there. This oasis of peace is open to visitors of all faiths and welcomes group and individual retreats, planned programs and spiritual direction. The Center also welcomes business and community groups seeking a quiet and reflective environment for meetings. It offers both overnight and day only accommodations.

+ More Information

The Center provides outstanding food service, comfortable lodging and space for up to 102 overnight guests and 300 day guests. It is fully accessible for people with disabilities. We offer media and technology resources for presentations, a small Eucharistic adoration chapel, large worship space, a variety of comfortable meeting rooms, a beautiful lake, outdoor Stations of the Cross and a labyrinth for meditation and prayer.

The facility sits on 160 acres of farmland across the road from Christ the King Priory near Schuyler. We invite individuals for private or directed retreats. We offer retreat programs that help to get in touch with the mystery of God within us and in all reality and that give guidance toward a healthy and more authentic spirituality, but also toward better self-knowledge and toward coping with difficult human situations. Please see our retreat schedule if you would like to participate in one of these programs.

Scholarships are available for those in need. Nobody who would like to come for a retreat should have to stay away for financial reasons. Please inquire.
